Talethia O. Edwards is a community builder, advocate, and proven leader who has spent her career doing the work—not talking about it—right here in Tallahassee.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Talethia came to Tallahassee for school and stayed because this community became home. A proud graduate of Florida A&M University and Florida State University, she holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, giving her both the heart and the technical expertise to tackle the real challenges facing our city—housing, infrastructure, affordability, and equitable growth.

For years, Talethia never imagined running for public office. She believed deeply in serving from the community, building partnerships, and creating solutions from the ground up. But when an open seat presented itself, she saw it for what it was: an opportunity to bring experienced, people-centered leadership to City Hall—leadership rooted in listening, accountability, and action.
